My name is Sigve, and I'm from Brønnøysund. I have a great passion for travel, tourism, and everything that makes Helgeland such a wonderful place to visit. I have cerebral palsy (CP), use a wheelchair, and created this website as a personal hobby.

Helgeland
Helgeland consists of 19 municipalities and is the southernmost part of Nordland County in Northern Norway. The largest towns are Mo i Rana, Mosjøen, Sandnessjøen, and Brønnøysund.
Helgeland is home to two UNESCO-designated areas:
· The Vega Archipelago World Heritage Site
- Trollfjell UNESCO Global Geopark
The region is also can experience authentic coastal life and spectacular inland scenery—all in the same day.
The largest towns and charming coastal villages are only a few hours apart by car or public transport. Ferries, expreshome to Svartisen, one of Norway's most famous glaciers, as well as several national parks, nature reserves, and vast areas of unspoiled wilderness.
Here, yous boats, buses, trains, roads, and regional flights connect these beautiful destinations.

Norway's Right to Roam (Allemannsretten) gives everyone the freedom to explore nature. With this freedom comes responsibility.
Please show consideration for local residents, wildlife, grazing animals, and private property.
Follow local regulations regarding campfires and camping, and always take your litter with you.
Open fires are generally prohibited between 15 April and 15 September, unless specifically permitted.
Camping or pitching a tent must take place at least 150 metres from the nearest inhabited house or cabin.
If you intend to stay in the same location for more than two nights, you must obtain permission from the landowner. This does not apply in remote mountain areas or locations far from settlements.
Please leave nature a little cleaner and more beautiful than you found it—for future visitors and for your own next visit.

Bringing Your Dog to Norway?
Dogs must be kept on a leash from 1 April until 20 August.
The purpose of this nationwide leash requirement is to protect vulnerable wildlife and grazing animals during the breeding and nesting season.
Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and ensuring they do not cause unnecessary disturbance to people, nature, or animals.
